Public events available during the Pokemon World Cup in Waikiki

HONOLULU (KHON2) — Registration for the 2024 Pokemon World Cup closed two months ago. Non-registered Pokémon enthusiasts can still enjoy a host of free activities at the Hilton Hawaiian Village in Waikiki from Thursday, August 15 to Sunday, August 18.

Open to the public personal activities at the Hilton Hawaiian Village

For “spectator” participants, activities will take place at the Hawaii Convention Center from Friday, August 16th through Sunday, August 18th. Activities include animation screenings, autograph drawing, collection and trading corner, genkiballs, museum, trading room, trading game pocket demo, trading card game illustration contest and more side events.

Holders of “competitor” badges will have the opportunity to compete in the Pokémon World Championships, which offer over $2 million in prizes. Registered competitors will play “Pokémon Trading Card Game”, “Pokémon Scarlet” and “Pokémon Violet”, “Pokémon GO” and “Pokémon Unite”.

A live stream of the World Championships can be seen on the official Pokémon YouTube and Twitch channels.
