Julie Bishop has seemingly confirmed her romance with new love interest Stephen Gray after months of speculation.

The former Australian politician, 68, was seen packing on the PDA with his new beau as they arrived at Sydney Airport on Friday.

Ms Bishop, who was Australia’s foreign minister from 2013 to 2018, shared a kiss with the Perth man as they stood near the Qantas desk with their luggage.

The unofficial ‘Minister for Fashion’ looked extremely dapper from his flight wearing a chic $1299 black and gold Camilla double breasted blazer.

She paired her look with smart black trousers and black heels.

The former deputy leader of the Liberal Party had her locks styled in her signature blonde, feathered updo and accessorized with gold drop earrings and a dainty necklace.

Ms Bishop and Mr Gray appear to have been an item for over a year, with the ex-politician debuting him on her social media back in July 2023.

Earlier this year, the couple traveled to South Australia for an “amazing outback adventure”.

In a video shared to her Instagram account, Ms Bishop put together a montage of photos and clips from their outback holiday and tagged Mr Gray.

‘The Great Southern Country. Thank you @quondong_oakbank_stations for our amazing outback adventure – 350 km from Adelaide on a 1477 sq km Merino station,’ she captioned her post.

Little is known about Mr Gray, whose Instagram account is private with only 60 close followers.

News of her new romance comes almost two years after Mr Panton, 62, allegedly dumped Ms Bishop over dinner in Sydney in July 2022, ending their eight-year relationship.

During their partnership, Ms Bishop took Mr Panton to the United Nations to meet world leaders, Buckingham Palace to mingle with British royalty and to the White House where he met Donald and Melania Trump.

The couple first stepped out in public in 2014 and have been pictured at countless celebrity events over the years, including Karl Stefanovic and Jasmine Yarbrough’s 2018 wedding.

They had looked strong when they recently visited St James’ Palace in London for an event in honor of Prince Charles’ charity.

Bishop was believed to have been “blindsided” by the sudden breakdown in her relationship, sources close to the former politician said.

Daily Mail Australia understands she had found more ways to be in Sydney with Mr Panton.

Ms Bishop appeared for the first time since the split smiling happily for photos at a mining conference in Perth on July 11, although insiders said she was hurting in the wake of the assault and was shocked at how he pulled the trigger so suddenly.

Another source close to Bishop was somewhat less diplomatic about the sudden end of the affair, suggesting that Panton’s presence in her inner circle “divided” some of her friends and colleagues.

But “JBish”, as she was known in Canberra, remained smitten.

“Let’s just say there are some who might be relieved it’s over,” one said, adding: “His personality didn’t always sit well with everyone.”

Mr Panton met Ms Bishop while she was in the middle of her political career, as Australia’s foreign minister.

The couple had a long-distance relationship for several years, with Ms Bishop based in Perth while he lived in Sydney.

Mr Panton has now moved on with 39-year-old Genevieve Anderson.
