Madison man convicted of animal cruelty and credit card fraud

During sentencing hearings Monday, July 22, Ladarius McQuay, 28, of Madison was sentenced to one year and one day in prison on charges of credit card fraud and animal cruelty. McQuay appeared before the Hon. Wesley Douglas in the Madison County Courthouse.

McQuay was sentenced to one year and one day in prison for the credit card fraud charge and one year in prison for the animal cruelty charge, with the sentences to be served concurrently. He received 147 days of credit for time served. He was also ordered to pay $2,015 in fines and court costs between the two cases.
