The Oklahoma City Council meets every two weeks and will vote on a resolution condemning hate speech

The Oklahoma City Council holds its scheduled meeting Tuesday morning and will vote on a resolution condemning hate speech.

The resolution, which condemns anti-Semitism, anti-Palestinianism, Islamophobia and xenophobic rhetoric and attacks across the United States, including in Oklahoma.

That resolution also calls for a ceasefire in Gaza.

Additionally, the City Council is considering halting the construction of new signs along Lake Hefner Parkway from the Northwest Expressway to Memorial Road.

If approved, the city would not accept applications for new signs for 905 days, which is about two and a half years.

A shorter moratorium was introduced in 2022.
