Rajasthan Education Dept Releases Annual Academic Calendar.  Deets inside

The main highlights of the holiday schedule include long breaks during major festivals.

The annual academic calendar has been issued by the Rajasthan Education Department, marking a significant development in the state’s education landscape. According to the academic calendar this year, there will be 152 holidays out of 365 days, including Sundays. The school will be open for only 213 days, excluding holidays. The Education Department has also declared the second and fourth Saturday of every month as No Bag Day. As the summer vacation is over and now the students have started going to school again, the education department has released the academic calendar for government and private schools in Rajasthan. This year, the major highlights of the holiday schedule include long breaks during major festivals like Diwali, Christmas, along with winter vacations. The holiday for Diwali begins on October 27 and lasts until November 7. Similarly, the winter vacation will start from 25th December and will continue till 5th January.

The education department has also announced the exam schedule in the calendar. According to this, the first test will start from August 21-23. The second test starts on October 14-16.

The half-yearly exams will be held from December 12 to December 24 this year. The annual survey, according to the calendar, will be conducted from April 24 and will last until May 8. The result will be announced on May 16.

The new session in the government as well as private schools affiliated to the education department will start from 1st July 2025. The private schools will start the session from 1st April. Holidays will be declared in the schools as soon as the results are declared, before this .

Rajasthan Education Department has also ensured that the calendar has been planned with careful consideration of all factors. Important measures will also be taken to address all challenges. The department plans to deliver strategies for schools to develop and maintain academic standards.
